The Rock Cycle is a change between three types
of different rocks. When the magma cools down it become an Igneous rock, than Igneous
rock become sediments by weathering and erosion. Sedimentary rock formed by the compaction and cementation of sediments. Metamorphic
rock formed by heat and pressure and, when sedimentary rock melts it becomes an Igneous rock.
Rocks Vocabulary
Metamorphic rock: - it formed by heart and pressure.
Igneous rock: - when lava melts and cools down it formed an igneous
rock.
Lava/ Magma: - the hot rock liquid.
Solidification: - process in which a liquid turns into a solid by
cooling down.
Weathering: - when the rock breaks.
Erosion: - the movement of rock from one place to another.
Sediments: - soil, sand, rock, and gravels.
Compaction: - when the rock push and glue together.
Cementation: - process in which the sedimentary rocks are made.
Igneous Rock
Intrusive Igneous rock: rock made inside the earth.
Extrusice Igneous rock: rock made outside the earth.
Sedimentary Rock
Clastic Sedimentary rock: rock made by rock fragments glued together.
Crystalline Sedimentary rock: rock formed of mineral crystals which are made
through evaporation.
Metamorphic Rock
Foliated Metamorphic rock: rocks that has layers.
Non-Foliated Metamorphic rock: rocks that does not have layers.
